Territory Sales Manager Overview

  • The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and executing sales strategies within a designated geographical area.
  • Engage with potential clients to present products, identify consumer needs, and recommend tailored solutions to promote and sell offerings.
  • Collaborate with senior sales representatives and managers to create and execute effective sales plans and achieve regional targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with medical professionals, including dermatologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and provide regular updates to the Regional Sales Director.
  • Participate in conventions and industry events to represent the client and expand the customer base.
  • Leverage company resources, clinical specialists, and reference sites to achieve both short-term and long-term sales objectives.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple time-sensitive processes and overcoming challenges with determination.

Territory Sales Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Meet or exceed sales quotas established for the assigned territory through proactive client engagement and strategic planning.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, both in-person and via phone, to identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide detailed information on features, pricing, and additional services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external sales representatives to share best practices and support cohesive sales approaches.
  • Address customer objections effectively, turning challenges into successful sales outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver timely reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and lead progress using CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Cross-sell products and services to maximize revenue opportunities within the territory.
  • Maintain compliance with customer care and finance requirements as outlined by the client organization.

Territory Sales Manager Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in medical or capital sales.
  • Experience with medical devices, capital equipment, surgical devices, or laser sales is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a competitive environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to retain large amounts of information and apply it effectively in sales scenarios.
  • Positive attitude and determination to succeed in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
