IT Support Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Deliver technical support for Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms, ensuring user satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and market data issues promptly.
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding, permissions, and account administration efficiently.
- Support audio/visual systems and conferencing technologies, including Zoom and Teams.
- Assist with mobile device configuration and management using Intune or similar platforms.
- Maintain virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments for secure remote access.
- Log, track, and resolve support requests using an IT Service Management platform.
- Document solutions and maintain IT knowledge bases for recurring issues and procedures.
- Provide after-hours and weekend on-call coverage as part of a support rotation.
IT Support Engineer Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of IT support experience; 4 years preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments, including Windows 11 and Office 365.
- Knowledge of identity and access management systems and security group administration.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration platforms like Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and interface professionally with traders and executives.
