Job Description

Financial/Billing Data Governance Overview

  • The Financial/Billing Data Governance Coordinator ensures accurate and compliant financial data management within a hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Data Governance Manager to maintain billing, e-billing, and reporting accuracy.
  • Utilize ServiceNow workflows to manage high-volume data requests and ensure timely processing.
  • Support audits, reconciliations, and compliance projects to uphold data integrity and operational excellence.
  • Engage in historical research and data corrections to strengthen financial governance standards.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and enhance team productivity.
  • Leverage expertise in financial systems to ensure accurate data entry and validation processes.
  • Contribute to strategic goals by improving compliance and supporting responsive service delivery.

Financial/Billing Data Governance Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain accurate and current financial records, including timekeeper, rate, client, and matter details.
  • Validate and process data entry requests using established governance standards and workflows.
  • Manage ServiceNow ticket workflows and prioritize requests to meet service expectations.
  • Conduct audits, reconciliations, and compliance checks to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and escalate complex matters to the Financial Data Governance Manager.
  • Collaborate with team members to support department initiatives and special projects.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and confirm data accuracy.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and learning agility to quickly master new systems and processes.

Financial/Billing Data Governance Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2-5 years of data entry experience.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as Aderant Expert, Elite, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or comparable ticketing systems preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional accuracy.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to build relationships and support team goals.
