Senior Forward Deployed Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and maintain ontology-driven applications within Palantir Foundry.
• Develop operational dashboards, workflows, and applications for leadership and operational teams.
• Govern enterprise ontology objects, relationships, and reusable data models.
• Integrate ERP, GIS, and other systems into Foundry pipelines.
• Support production operations, incident response, and troubleshooting for critical systems.
• Participate in readiness exercises, release activities, and production support.
• Translate operational requirements into scalable Foundry solutions.
• Lead deployment promotion, release management, and testing coordination.
• Mentor engineers on ontology design, application architecture, and best practices.

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering or systems integration experience; 7 years preferred.
• Expertise in Palantir Foundry, including Ontology Manager, Workshop, and Pipeline Builder.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, or Java in Foundry development workflows.
• Proficiency in designing enterprise ontologies and governing reusable data models.
• Strong understanding of operational governance, release management, and platform support models.
• Ability to lead complex technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams.
• Experience integrating ERP, GIS, and operational systems into Foundry pipelines.
• Familiarity with utility, energy, infrastructure, or public safety operational environments.
