Job Description

Registered Nurse Educator Overview

  • The Registered Nurse Educator will oversee training and orientation programs for healthcare staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to maintain compliance and quality improvement initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Conduct clinical audits and develop Quality Improvement Plans to drive sustained performance improvements.
  • Manage the online learning platform, updating modules and monitoring staff completion rates.
  • Perform competency evaluations for nursing and HHA/PCA staff, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Teach PCA training curriculum and provide ongoing HHA/PCA training in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in patient visits and supervisory visits as directed by management.
  • Serve as a compliance resource during surveys, audits, and regulatory inquiries.

Registered Nurse Educator Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement training programs for healthcare staff, ensuring comprehensive orientation and ongoing education.
  • Conduct routine and focused clinical compliance audits using established tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance during orientation programs to ensure timely completion of training.
  • Facilitate QAPI meetings, document outcomes, and translate findings into actionable plans.
  • Analyze and report performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide compliance education related to audit outcomes and regulatory changes.
  • Perform patient visits and supervisory visits to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Collaborate with HR and DPS to ensure all compliance requirements are met effectively.

Registered Nurse Educator Job Requirements

  • Current RN license in New York State and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in home care or related field.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, preferably HHAEXCHANGE and RN PAD.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Knowledge of home care regulations and compliance standards.
  • Willingness to travel between locations and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred but not required.
