Interior Designer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead interior design efforts on sophisticated projects, ensuring alignment with architectural concepts and client expectations.
• Develop multiple design schemes for client review, incorporating feedback to refine concepts.
• Prepare and present interior space and finish selections to clients, showcasing creative solutions.
• Create detailed construction drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate communications among clients, design teams, and contractors to maintain project timelines and quality.
• Mentor junior designers, guiding their professional growth and contributing to team development.

Interior Designer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) or equivalent education in interior design preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of interior design experience; 7 years preferred for advanced project leadership.
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam software for design and documentation tasks.
• NCIDQ certification preferred, demonstrating advanced knowledge in interior design practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills to effectively manage project teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects and clients on multiple projects simultaneously.
