Payroll Analyst Overview
- The Payroll Analyst ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for a dynamic organization.
- Manage multi-state payroll operations, including employee file maintenance and compliance adherence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll questions and escalations professionally.
- Support equity compensation events and global payroll considerations for employees.
- Utilize Oracle Fusion Payroll to streamline processes and resolve payroll issues efficiently.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and reporting for Finance and Accounting teams.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and execution.
Payroll Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process weekly or bi-weekly multi-state payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Maintain employee master file data, including tax updates and benefit deductions.
- Support payroll processing for equity compensation events and special payroll transactions.
- Perform analysis of pay transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and process garnishments.
- Utilize Oracle Fusion Payroll for processing, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Assist with payroll system testing, enhancements, and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for payroll initiatives.
- Support audits and perform special projects as assigned.
Payroll Analyst Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- APA Certification (CPP or FPC) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
- Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Payroll and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of payroll tax compliance and equity compensation transactions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment independently.
- Exposure to global payroll processes is advantageous.
