Pharmacist Overview
- The Pharmacist will provide essential pharmaceutical services in a retail setting, ensuring accurate order processing and patient safety.
- This contract position requires coverage 4-5 days per week, including Saturdays every other week.
- Work hours are 9am-6pm for both weekdays and weekends, offering a consistent schedule.
- Candidates must possess an active Indiana Pharmacist license and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Orientation and training are provided to ensure familiarity with the PioneerRx system and site operations.
- The role involves collaboration with a dedicated team including a Pharmacy Manager and technicians.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CPS Code of Conduct, and other credentialing requirements prior to start.

Pharmacist Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Accurately fill medication orders and verify technician-prepared products before release.
- Ensure the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances at all times.
- Enter patient information and medication orders with precision using the PioneerRx system.
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries regarding prescriptions.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient operations and workflow.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies, including HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in training and orientation to ensure readiness for the role.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering medications as needed.
- Maintain professional attire and conduct in accordance with the dress code and workplace standards.
Pharmacist Job Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Active Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting; 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in using the PioneerRx order entry system is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Compliance with pre-employment requirements including background check, drug screening, and health credentials.
- Ability to work on-site during designated hours and provide Saturday coverage as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
