Patient Recruitment Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Act as the primary contact for new and existing patients, providing detailed study information and addressing inquiries.
  • Recruit and pre-screen participants using established protocols, ensuring eligibility and commitment to study requirements.
  • Schedule and manage participant appointments, coordinating transportation and accommodations as needed.
  • Maintain and update participant records in electronic databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with study teams to achieve enrollment targets and optimize cross-screening opportunities.
  • Apply FDA, GCP, and HIPAA guidelines consistently to safeguard participant data and uphold ethical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings to stay informed on study updates and integrate new information effectively.
  • Utilize multiple communication platforms to engage participants, including phone, email, and text messaging.

Patient Recruitment Specialist Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, communications, or science preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in call center, customer service, or clinical research roles.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare or clinical research environments.
  • High-speed internet access meeting minimum requirements of 70 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems and databases efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and interactive listening abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by study schedules.
