Superintendent Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors and conduct regular site meetings to maintain project progress.
• Review project plans and specifications to proactively address potential challenges.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards on-site.
• Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Mentor assistant superintendents and field staff to enhance team performance.
• Utilize construction management software for efficient documentation and communication.
• Drive project completion within established timelines while maintaining high standards.

Superintendent Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Proven ability to manage multifamily, interiors, healthcare, or other commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; additional certifications are advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to manage teams effectively.
• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications or degrees are a plus.
• Ability to work on-site with a focus on delivering exceptional project outcomes.
