Chief Technology Officer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee the development and enhancement of healthcare platforms, data systems, and reporting capabilities.
• Monitor emerging technologies and trends, integrating relevant insights into strategic planning.
• Hold technology leaders accountable for delivery quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with IT Security leadership to maintain a strong security posture and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor technology managers, fostering leadership development and organizational growth.
• Shape the technology organization’s structure, culture, and talent strategy to support advanced initiatives.
• Represent the organization in external forums, promoting its technology leadership and vision.

Chief Technology Officer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive technology experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong understanding of healthcare technology, data systems, and regulated environments.
• Experience with healthcare platforms such as TriZetto QNXT, GuidingCare, and healthcare EDI.
• Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile credential preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI strategy, data governance, and vendor management.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and resource allocation.
