Medical Assistant Overview

  • The Medical Assistant role offers a dynamic opportunity to support patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
  • Perform essential clinical tasks including rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and updating medical histories.
  • Administer injections, draw blood, and ensure accurate data entry into EMR systems.

Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories.
  • Administer injections and perform blood draws with precision and care.
  • Maintain and update patient records within the EMR system.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.

Medical Assistant Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant diploma program is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly eClinicalWorks, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated skills in rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and drawing blood.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early morning and late afternoon shifts.
