Medical Assistant Overview

• The Medical Assistant will support healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative services.

Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
• Perform clinical tasks including recording vital signs, conducting tests, and assisting during examinations.
• Ensure accurate data entry and management in electronic medical records systems.
• Coordinate referrals, schedule appointments, and provide necessary documentation to patients.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to safety protocols.

• Assist in inventory management and ordering of medical supplies as needed.

Medical Assistant Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or eligibility for certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care setting; 3 years preferred.
• Proficiency in navigating electronic medical records systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
