Registered Nurse Overview
- The Registered Nurse will oversee patient care teams, ensuring high standards of patient satisfaction, safety, and quality care.
- Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants, delegating responsibilities effectively.
- Coordinate daily and weekly team schedules, managing Paid Time Off requests efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, local, state, and federal guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Support hiring processes, including screening, training, and performance evaluations of staff.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, planning and coordinating patient care interventions.
- Manage clinical supplies inventory and prepare equipment for patient treatments and examinations.
- Document patient progress notes in the electronic health record system within 24 hours.
Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise care team activities, ensuring tasks are completed to high standards.
- Conduct daily team huddles, reviewing patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare materials and deliverables for patient care and team coordination.
- Assist physicians during patient treatments, examinations, and testing procedures.
- Verify patient complaints, take vital signs, and administer medications as directed.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New York required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations, and patient care practices.
