CT Technologist Overview

  • The CT Technologist role involves providing advanced imaging services within a dynamic healthcare environment.

CT Technologist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform computed tomography imaging procedures based on physician orders and established protocols.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor patient reactions during imaging processes.
  • Review patient histories and provide education to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive diagnostic services.
  • Document and report imaging results accurately and promptly.
  • Implement techniques to enhance image clarity and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance activities to uphold standards of care.

CT Technologist Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiologic imaging; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in administering contrast media and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to healthcare standards.
