• The Accounting Manager will oversee royalty accounting audits and compliance processes within a leading sports and e-commerce organization.

Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead external royalty and licensing audits, serving as the primary liaison for audit requests and communications.
• Prepare detailed audit support schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for external reviews.
• Review royalty reporting processes to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and contractual obligations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, audit findings, and compliance issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain royalty accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Support the implementation of royalty reporting software solutions and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance Systems teams to improve system integrations and automation.
• Interpret licensing agreements to ensure accurate royalty calculations and compliance with contractual terms.
• Drive continuous process improvements to increase audit efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Accounting Manager Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on royalty accounting and compliance.
• Strong understanding of royalty accounting, licensing agreements, accrual accounting, and US GAAP.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations and process transformation initiatives preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and process improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to interact across all organizational levels effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
