Job Description

Technology Project Manager Overview

  • The Technology Project Manager will oversee technology operations during a temporary assignment, ensuring smooth workflows and effective collaboration across departments.
  • Provide technical support for staff, including desktop assistance, account management, and onboarding/offboarding coordination.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to address complex IT needs and manage departmental technology budgets.
  • Track and manage IT inventory, ensuring proper allocation and disposal of retired technology assets.
  • Support staff in using technical platforms, including Google Workspace, Airtable, and Slack, through training and documentation.
  • Facilitate communication between internal departments and external IT consultants to resolve technical challenges effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards while managing technology-related projects and tasks.
  • Contribute to the organization's mission by supporting technology infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency.

Technology Project Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage departmental invoices, payments, and technology budgets to ensure financial accountability.
  • Coordinate IT needs for staff onboarding and offboarding, including hardware setup and account management.
  • Provide desktop support and resolve technical issues for staff, collaborating with external consultants as needed.
  • Track and manage IT inventory using AssetPanda, ensuring accurate records and proper disposal of retired assets.
  • Collaborate with vendors to select products, plans, and payment options that align with organizational needs.
  • Support staff in using technical platforms, offering training and creating user guides as necessary.
  • Coordinate technology needs for intern cycles, including hardware setup and IT orientation.
  • Perform daily import tasks and other duties as assigned to support technology operations.

Technology Project Manager Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with 5 years preferred in technology project management.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Airtable, Slack, and other common technical platforms.
  • Experience with desktop support, customer service, and IT ticketing systems.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage budgets, track inventory, and coordinate projects effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to address complex IT needs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management tools and processes for tracking and disposal of technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate communication and act as a liaison between stakeholders.
