Job Description

Senior Accountant Overview

  • The Senior Accountant role supports corporate financial reporting and global consolidations, collaborating with regional Accounting and Finance teams.
  • Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate management reporting and schedules.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for compliance with U.S. GAAP and proper transaction reflection.
  • Coordinate with corporate tax teams to reconcile statutory and corporate financial differences.
  • Analyze account fluctuations and provide detailed documentation for senior leadership.
  • Support external consultants, including auditors and tax advisors, with necessary financial data.
  • Research technical accounting matters, preparing memos for corporate and external auditors.
  • Participate in the design and maintenance of accounting systems to ensure accurate financial recognition.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to financial controls and procedures.

Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist in closing activities, including management report preparation and accompanying schedules.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Record consolidation journal entries and reconciliations for month-end closing.
  • Analyze and document significant account fluctuations for senior leadership review.
  • Ensure accurate subsidiary balance sheet account reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support external consultants with financial data and documentation.
  • Conduct accounting research and analyses, preparing supporting memos.
  • Participate in system design and maintenance for financial transaction recognition.
  • Identify control weaknesses and recommend enhancements to financial controls.

Senior Accountant Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with 4 years preferred.
  • Executive-level expertise in financial reporting and consolidations.
  • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting matters.
  • Experience with accounting systems design and maintenance preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills for account fluctuation analysis and documentation.
