Adult Psychiatrist Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for inpatient care, addressing primary and secondary disorders.
• Collaborate on treatment planning with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans addressing emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
• Administer psychotherapeutic methods and medications, monitoring and adjusting as necessary.
• Provide crisis intervention and consult with healthcare providers for integrated care.
• Maintain accurate patient records detailing treatments and medications administered.
• Stay updated on psychiatric advancements through publications, conferences, and professional networks.

Adult Psychiatrist Job Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, with 5 years preferred in psychiatric care.
• Unrestricted licensure in Massachusetts and DEA registration for controlled substances.
• Strong teaching, clinical, and leadership skills to guide mental health providers.
