Job Description

OBGYN Overview

  • The OBGYN role focuses on comprehensive women's health, including obstetrics and gynecology services.
  • Provide care during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Diagnose and treat conditions affecting female reproductive health, including hormonal disorders and cancers.
  • Perform routine examinations such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast exams.
  • Conduct surgical procedures like cesarean sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopies.
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, disease prevention, and lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team and utilize advanced medical technology.

OBGYN Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care in obstetrics, managing prenatal check-ups, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions, including hormonal disorders and reproductive system cancers.
  • Perform routine examinations to monitor and maintain women's health.
  • Conduct surgical procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling during significant life events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in ground rounds and shared call arrangements.
  • Utilize advanced medical technology and in-house ultrasound facilities.

OBGYN Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
  • Arizona Medical License and DEA License, or ability to obtain them.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in obstetrics and gynecology practice.
  • Ability to perform surgical procedures and manage complex cases.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and emotional support.
  • Eligible for NHSC Loan Forgiveness and J1/H-1B Visa assistance.
