• Lead perioperative nursing services at a Level II Trauma Center, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence.
• Oversee a dynamic surgical environment with 11 operating rooms, expanding to 13, supporting diverse specialties including cardiovascular, orthopedic, and neuro spine surgeries.
• Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to enhance service offerings and drive growth in surgical services.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency in care delivery.
• Develop and implement strategies to elevate patient experience and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide leadership to a team of 75 FTEs, including managers of OR, SPD, and perioperative units.
• Participate in budget planning and management, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and cost control.
• Drive interdisciplinary collaboration and communication to optimize patient care and throughput.
• Support ongoing construction projects to expand and refresh surgical facilities, enhancing operational capacity.

• Collaborate with physicians and administrative teams to identify opportunities for service expansion and growth.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff, promoting professional development and engagement.
• Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction through strategic planning and execution.

Director of Nursing Perioperative Services Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care surgical services experience; 5 years preferred.
• Previous experience as Director of Surgical Services required, with proven leadership capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence-based practices in perioperative care.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to foster interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Experience in service expansion and facility construction projects is a plus.
