Talent Acquisition Specialist Overview

  • The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and attracting top talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and practices.
  • Serves as the primary recruiting resource and advisor for teams across the organization.
  • Advocates for the company’s value proposition to attract and retain key talent.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Manages recruitment processes using ATS systems, including Workday Recruiting.
  • Provides training and support to teams on recruitment practices and procedures.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develops recruitment strategies and identifies hiring needs in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Posts job ads, sources talent, and manages candidate communication and interview scheduling.
  • Conducts assessments and gathers feedback to ensure cultural and position fit.
  • Manages applicant tracking systems and drives active and passive candidate pipelines.
  • Provides regular updates to hiring managers on recruitment progress and open positions.
  • Identifies and implements operational improvements to streamline recruitment processes.
  • Develops and updates job descriptions, offer letters, and standardized recruitment practices.
  • Participates in training initiatives and provides recruitment-related training to teams.
  • Maintains compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR/recruiting experience required; 5 years preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; educational background in HR or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with ATS systems, Workday preferred.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of management.
