Estimator Overview
- The Estimator role focuses on light industrial construction projects, offering significant growth potential within a leading general contracting organization.
- Contribute to preconstruction efforts, including tilt-wall, distribution, cold storage, and ground-up projects.
- Collaborate with regional teams to support projects in multiple locations, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
- Work closely with the Director of Preconstruction and Business Development to develop accurate project estimates.

Estimator Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for light industrial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure project success.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
- Support the preconstruction team in preparing proposals and presentations for clients.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to ensure competitive and innovative estimating practices.
- Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to construction phases.
Estimator Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, with a preference for 7 years.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of light industrial construction methodologies, including tilt-wall and ground-up projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as needed.
