Registered Nurse Overview

Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct thorough physical assessments to evaluate patient health status and needs.
- Supervise and evaluate the care provided to patients, ensuring adherence to care plans.
- Perform preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures to support patient recovery and well-being.
- Observe and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare provider promptly.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on health management and care strategies.
- Participate in care planning conferences to develop and review patient care plans.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timelines.
- Provide orientation and training to aides, ensuring quality care delivery.
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing or equivalent required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, with 2 years preferred.
- Experience with dementia or tuberculosis patients is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a field setting, including traveling to patient locations.
- Strong documentation and patient care planning skills.
- Comfortable conducting supervision visits and training sessions for aides.
- Preferred experience with Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practices.
