Vice President of Operations Overview

  • The Vice President of Operations will oversee operational performance across a network of pediatric dental ambulatory surgery centers.
  • This executive role involves strategic leadership, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to implement company strategies effectively.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Regional Vice Presidents to achieve operational excellence.
  • Develop scalable operational processes to support the organization’s growth and success.
  • Champion patient safety, clinical quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the integration and development of new centers within the network.
  • Engage with corporate functions, referral partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and growth.
  • This role offers exposure to C-suite operations within a growing niche management company.

Vice President of Operations Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across a multi-state network of surgery centers.
  • Lead and develop a team of Regional Vice Presidents to ensure operational success.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory standards across all centers.
  • Monitor and improve safety, quality, and patient satisfaction metrics organization-wide.
  • Drive financial performance through budgeting, labor management, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the integration of new centers and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with corporate functions to align operational goals with strategic objectives.
  • Represent operations in leadership meetings and contribute to company-wide planning.
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders to support the organization’s mission and growth.

Vice President of Operations Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience in healthcare or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site operations and lead regional or divisional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Experience with M&A integration and opening new centers is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to oversee operations across the center network.
  • Familiarity with AAAHC or AAAASF accreditation standards and CMS requirements is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational and financial improvements in a healthcare setting.
