Architectural Designer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct site feasibility analyses, including planning, massing, and yield calculations.
• Develop schematic designs, test fits, 3D models, and client presentations.
• Perform design development tasks, including material research and construction assemblies.
• Create construction documentation and coordinate with consultants for project execution.
• Support permitting and bidding processes through detailed documentation.
• Assist in construction administration, including site reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Enhance firm standards through BIM asset creation and template standardization.
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop design concepts and contribute original ideas.

Architectural Designer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) from an accredited program.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial, office, or mixed-use projects.
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM, Adobe CC, GSuite, Bluebeam, and Enscape rendering.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and technical detailing.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and local building codes.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
• High emotional intelligence and a professional growth mindset.
