Commercial Superintendent Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Inspect work progress and quality to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and schedules.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on-site.

Commercial Superintendent Job Requirements

• Associate of Science (AS) degree in construction management or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction; 4 years preferred.
• Proven experience in commercial tenant improvement projects; healthcare or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills to oversee on-site teams effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve construction challenges.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and maintain project alignment.
