Women and Infants Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide direct patient care in labor and delivery, postpartum, and NICU units.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, ensuring timely communication with the care team.
- Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and nursing students.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and technologies.
- Support high-risk deliveries and provide specialized care to critically ill infants.

Women and Infants Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in Women and Infants nursing or completion of an approved fellowship program.
- NRP certification required within 6 months of hire; ACLS required for labor duties.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or equivalent.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a high-acuity environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered, evidence-based care.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations as required.
