Inventory Manager Overview
- The Inventory Manager oversees inventory accuracy, optimization, and control across the client’s distribution network.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory supports operational and business objectives.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and improve operational efficiency.
- Utilize ERP systems for inventory transactions, reporting, and analysis.
- Support inventory audits, reconciliations, and cycle count programs to maintain accuracy.
- Provide leadership with inventory reports and recommendations to optimize inventory turnover.
- Manage damaged inventory investigations and coordinate insurance claims.
- Work onsite to ensure inventory operations align with organizational goals.
Inventory Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all distribution locations.
- Perform inventory reconciliations and implement corrective actions for discrepancies.
- Oversee cycle count programs and physical inventory audits.
- Utilize ERP systems for inventory management and reporting.
- Prepare and distribute inventory reports and variance analyses for leadership.
- Audit order books to ensure inventory availability meets customer demand.

Inventory Manager Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of inventory control or supply chain experience; 2 years in a management role preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; BlueCherry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of inventory control best practices.
- Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with third-party distribution centers preferred.
