Investment Operations & Portfolio Management Analyst Overview

  • The Investment Operations & Portfolio Management Analyst supports secondary private equity and co-investment transactions throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with investment, finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and portfolio management.
  • Gain exposure to private equity operations, transaction execution, valuation, and reporting in a dynamic investment environment.
  • Work directly with a Partner, providing unique mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, open-floor environment emphasizing cross-functional communication and teamwork.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage financial data and support investment processes.

Investment Operations & Portfolio Management Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support execution of secondary LP-led, GP-led, and co-investment transactions from signing to closing.
  • Coordinate transaction documentation and settlement activities with legal counsel, advisors, and custodians.
  • Maintain transaction pipelines, execution checklists, and investment documentation.
  • Reconcile portfolio information from fund managers and administrators.
  • Support portfolio valuation processes and assist in internal and client reporting.
  • Track treasury and hedging activities and assist with transaction-related accounting requests.
  • Coordinate AML/KYC documentation for funds and counterparties, ensuring compliance records are up-to-date.
  • Respond to investment team inquiries regarding portfolio holdings and historical activity.

Investment Operations & Portfolio Management Analyst Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in private equity, fund administration, investment operations, audit, or financial services.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Understanding of private equity fund structures, partnership interests, and NAV reporting preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
