Practice Analytics Manager Overview

  • The Practice Analytics Manager will lead data-driven strategies to optimize clinical and operational performance across healthcare practices.
  • Collaborate with leaders to improve practice accessibility, efficiency, and sustainability through actionable analytics.
  • Analyze clinical, operational, and financial data to identify trends and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop integrated dashboards and performance frameworks to support decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Ensure data quality and governance while advancing self-service analytics capabilities for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align analytics with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to analytics staff, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Drive measurable improvements in practice performance, patient care, and operational sustainability.

Practice Analytics Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Evaluate practice performance and identify opportunities for operational and clinical improvement.
  • Develop and manage performance frameworks covering access, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Analyze data to diagnose operational challenges and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with leaders to implement changes in scheduling, staffing, and workflows.
  • Support financial sustainability through capacity planning, revenue analysis, and forecasting.
  • Lead the development of dashboards and reporting tools for performance monitoring.
  • Ensure alignment of clinical, operational, and financial measures to inform sustainable decisions.
  • Supervise and develop analytics staff, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Practice Analytics Manager Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health administration, public health, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in healthcare operations, analytics, or practice management.
  • Proven ability to use data for operational improvements and decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of EHR systems, particularly Epic, and data management tools.
  • Experience with dashboards, forecasting, and performance reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SQL or partnering with SQL teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and experience in FQHC or community health settings.
