Estimator Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and align budgets with project goals.
• Conduct market research to source competitive pricing for materials and subcontractor services.
• Develop and maintain a database of cost information for future reference and benchmarking.
• Present cost estimates and budget recommendations to stakeholders and clients.

Estimator Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimation; 7 years preferred.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools, with strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of commercial construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with stakeholders effectively.
