Nurse Manager Surgical Services Overview

  • The Nurse Manager Surgical Services oversees clinical, administrative, and operational activities for surgical nursing units, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with standards.
  • Leads the development and implementation of unit goals, aligning with organizational objectives and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Maintains accountability for unit operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and support services to provide a safe and efficient care environment for patients and staff.

Nurse Manager Surgical Services Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of acute care experience with progressive leadership roles.
  • Current California Registered Nursing license and Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, staffing, and operational activities effectively.
