• The Senior Security Engineer will lead cybersecurity initiatives in a dynamic financial services environment, ensuring robust security controls and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture and support regulatory and audit requirements.
• Design and implement enterprise security solutions across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity domains.
• Contribute to strategic security initiatives, enhancing operational effectiveness and protecting organizational assets.
• Utilize expertise in ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls to align security frameworks.
• Work within a hybrid environment, offering flexibility and opportunities for professional growth.
• Provide technical leadership in incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection engineering.
• Develop and maintain security standards, procedures, and governance materials to ensure compliance.
• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies to recommend improvements and strengthen security maturity.

Senior Security Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security controls across various domains, including cloud and network security.
• Lead security engineering initiatives, ensuring secure design recommendations and operational support of security technologies.
• Manage identity security controls, including multi-factor authentication and privileged access management.
• Optimize security tools and platforms, including SIEM, DLP, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediation planning, and risk prioritization.
• Support incident response activities, including threat hunting and forensic analysis.
• Develop and maintain security procedures, technical baselines, and implementation guidance.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for systems and applications.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security requirements into operational processes.

Senior Security Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including security engineering and architecture.
• Experience with enterprise security technologies across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity domains.
• Strong knowledge of security tools, including SIEM, EDR/EPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Proficiency in securing cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
• Experience supporting security programs within regulated industries such as financial services.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, or CISM.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence security outcomes.
