Job Description

Infusion Nurse Practitioner Overview

  • The Infusion Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will provide patient care in an outpatient infusion center setting.
  • Assess and clear patients for treatment, oversee infusion therapies, and monitor reactions.
  • Administer IV therapies and manage vascular access for patients of all ages.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
  • Work flexible schedules, including one Saturday per month, with optional overtime.
  • Engage in a dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Provide compassionate care and education to patients undergoing infusion treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with medical protocols and standards of care.

Infusion Nurse Practitioner Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct patient assessments to determine suitability for infusion treatments.
  • Administer and oversee infusion therapies, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after treatments.
  • Educate patients and families on infusion procedures and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments.

Infusion Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing and active FNP license required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of infusion experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, vascular access, and infusion medication management.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations and schedules.
  • Ability to work one Saturday per month; additional Saturdays preferred.
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
