Investment Research Overview
- The Investment Research role focuses on in-depth analysis of hedge funds and alternative investments.
- Collaborate with the Chief Investment Officer to develop investment strategies and recommendations.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of fund performance and risk factors.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and due diligence reports for internal committees.
- Monitor market trends and update internal models and databases regularly.
- Contribute to improving research processes and documentation for enhanced decision-making.
- Engage with fund managers and perform thorough evaluations of investment opportunities.
- Support portfolio construction decisions with rigorous analysis and insights.
- Participate in conferences and occasional travel to meet investment stakeholders.
Investment Research Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Source and evaluate investment opportunities across hedge funds, private equity, and real estate.
- Perform comprehensive due diligence on fund managers and strategies.
- Monitor existing investments, tracking performance and organizational changes.
- Develop financial models and conduct performance attribution analysis.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Maintain and update internal databases with relevant investment data.

Investment Research Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment research or related roles.
- Preferred 20 years of experience in hedge fund analysis and portfolio management.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, performance analysis, and risk assessment.
- Advanced knowledge of capital markets and alternative investment strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing investment memos.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Professional designation such as CFA is highly preferred.
