Estimator Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
• Analyze project specifications and collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers and design teams to assess project scope and budget constraints.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and construction techniques.
• Develop and present comprehensive cost reports to clients and internal teams.
• Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or conditions.
• Support business development efforts by providing accurate cost data for proposals and bids.

Estimator Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimation, with 7 years preferred.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools is essential.
• Strong understanding of multi-floor interior and infrastructure project requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate estimations.
