Job Description

Pharmacist Overview

  • The Pharmacist role focuses on product verification and supervision of technicians filling orders onsite.
  • This position is a contract role with potential for renewal or permanent conversion.
  • Work hours are Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with no weekends.
  • The role requires onsite presence at the designated facility to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Candidates with specialty pharmacy experience are preferred but not required.
  • Retail pharmacy experience is highly valued for this position.
  • The client seeks a professional with a PharmD degree and mid-level experience.
  • Immediate availability is required to support the implementation of a second shift.

Pharmacist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Verify the accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in the preparation and filling of orders.
  • Maintain a safe and organized pharmacy environment for staff and patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Provide guidance and training to pharmacy technicians to enhance their performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards in all pharmacy operations.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve service delivery.

Pharmacist Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is required for this position.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy practice, preferably retail or specialty.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent organizational and supervisory skills to manage pharmacy operations effectively.
  • Ability to work onsite during designated hours without weekend shifts.
  • Immediate availability to support the implementation of a second shift.
  • Specialty pharmacy experience is a plus but not mandatory.
