Job Description

Overview

  • Lead strategic preconstruction initiatives, aligning project goals with organizational objectives to ensure successful outcomes and innovation in processes.
  • Oversee estimating, scheduling, and design coordination, driving efficiency and precision during preconstruction phases.
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and stakeholders to foster impactful project results and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Provide executive leadership to the preconstruction team, promoting professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely achievement of milestones and optimal resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, maintaining quality and regulatory adherence.
  • Report directly to senior leadership, aligning departmental strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Foster innovation and efficiency within preconstruction processes to enhance organizational capabilities and project success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of preconstruction phases, ensuring seamless project initiation and execution.
  • Oversee the estimating department, ensuring accuracy and reliability in cost assessments and projections.
  • Collaborate with design teams to align project deliverables with organizational and client objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, optimizing resource allocation and milestone achievement.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients during preconstruction phases, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the preconstruction team, fostering professional development and expertise.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout preconstruction phases.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in preconstruction or construction management roles.
  • Preferred 25 years of experience in executive-level roles within the industry.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in estimating, scheduling, and design coordination processes.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills to foster collaboration and project success.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing onsite and remote responsibilities effectively.
