Job Captain Overview

Job Captain Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop architectural designs for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to produce detailed construction documents using AutoCAD and other software.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Utilize Photoshop, SketchUp, and Bluebeam for visualization and presentation purposes.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and resolve design challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members as needed.
  • Ensure quality control and accuracy in all architectural deliverables.

Job Captain Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture from an accredited program is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial architecture; retail experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; familiarity with Photoshop, SketchUp, and Bluebeam preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for site visits and project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design, renovation, and new construction processes.
  • Registration or ability to become registered as an architect is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
