Tax Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring seamless transitions and ongoing satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review various tax returns, including individual, business, estate, and trust filings.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services tailored to client needs.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of staff-prepared tax documents.

Tax Manager Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting; 7 years preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a diverse client portfolio.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for effective client and team interactions.
  • Experience in preparing and signing tax returns as a paid preparer.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying current with tax regulations.
