Physical Therapist Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Implement physical therapy intervention plans directly or collaboratively to address patient needs.
• Screen and evaluate pediatric patients, interpreting data for effective treatment planning.
• Perform specialized assessments tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Document therapy services in compliance with organizational and payer standards.
• Maintain therapy areas and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, students, and supportive staff.

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and New York State licensure required.
• Experience or training in pediatric physical therapy is highly preferred.
• Strong documentation skills to meet organizational and payer standards.
• Ability to supervise and mentor assistants and students effectively.
• Commitment to professional development and licensure maintenance.
