FP&A Managing Director Overview
- The FP&A Managing Director will lead strategic financial planning and analysis initiatives for the client.
- Drive growth in the FP&A Advisory practice by developing client relationships and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align finance strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide insights into sales and spending trends to mitigate financial risks and identify opportunities.
- Deliver high-quality reports and analysis to support informed business decisions.
- Stay updated on advancements in finance technologies and analytics to enhance client solutions.
- Engage in business development initiatives, including proposal development and client presentations.
- Support the client’s FP&A Advisory team growth in the Greater NYC area.
FP&A Managing Director Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead project teams in delivering business transformation initiatives aligning finance with organizational strategy.
- Develop finance strategies by assessing business challenges and recommending tailored solutions.
- Provide executive-level communication and stakeholder engagement to influence senior leadership.
- Manage financial risk through analysis of sales and spending trends.
- Identify opportunities for business development and participate in proposal processes.
- Maintain expertise in finance technologies and analytics to support client needs.
- Lead workshops with clients to define requirements and articulate finance transformation solutions.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects by managing internal and external requirements effectively.
FP&A Managing Director Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in finance or related field required.
- 12-15+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in consulting or professional services.
- Proven ability to generate new business and expand client relationships.
- Advanced understanding of FP&A functions and three-statement financial modeling.
- Experience with finance technologies such as Adaptive Workday, Anaplan, Tableau, and ERP systems.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to building impactful consulting practices.
- Transactional experience in M&A, refinancing, and scenario modeling preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and engage stakeholders effectively.
