Accountant Overview
- The Accountant will support daily accounting operations for a large, multi-generational family office with diversified investments in private equity and real estate.
- Work within a fast-paced, high-volume environment requiring accuracy, discretion, and strong internal controls.
- Engage with complex structures involving 300+ entities, ensuring precise bookkeeping and reporting.

Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform daily bookkeeping activities for individuals, trusts, and legal entities, ensuring accurate transaction entries and reconciliations.
- Initiate and process domestic and international wire transfers with precision and compliance.
- Track real estate expenditures and capital improvements, maintaining detailed records.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment activities across multiple entities.
- Generate detailed reports for tax preparation and support payroll processing as needed.
- Manage payments related to real estate operations, private investments, and household expenses.
- Maintain organized accounting files in compliance with internal policies and standards.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks and contribute to team efficiency and accuracy.
Accountant Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with strong general ledger fundamentals.
- Proficiency in processing wires and payments, including verifying wire instructions.
- Experience with household payroll processes and exposure to private equity or real estate environments preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems like Archway, QuickBooks, or Quicken.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven hybrid environment.
