Fund Accounting Supervisor Overview
- The Fund Accounting Supervisor will lead and mentor teams in private equity fund operations and accounting.
- Gain exposure to the full private equity fund lifecycle, including diverse industry sectors.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to operational excellence and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with senior management to oversee fund operations and ensure compliance.
- Lead the setup and review of fund deliverables, including financial statements and distributions.
- Perform in-depth analyses of financial reports and complex transactions.
- Work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities.
- Enhance technical expertise in fund accounting and reporting standards.
Fund Accounting Supervisor Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage daily fund operations in collaboration with senior management.
- Oversee accounting and operations of assigned funds independently.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Review and approve fund deliverables, including capital calls and financial statements.
- Analyze financial reports and capital events for accuracy and compliance.
- Interpret and apply governing documents, such as LPAs and advisory agreements.
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational integrity initiatives.
Fund Accounting Supervisor Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance required.
- Minimum of 4 years of private equity fund accounting experience; 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of ASC 946 and IFRS reporting standards.
- Experience with fund structures and investor classifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
