Payroll Administrator Overview
- The Payroll Administrator will oversee payroll processing for diverse employee groups, including hourly, salaried, and union employees.
- This role involves managing payroll for 250-400 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate within a dynamic payroll team handling payroll for 2500 employees across the tri-state area.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and reporting tasks efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws, including wage garnishments and withholding orders.
- Provide excellent customer service to active and terminated employees regarding payroll inquiries.
- Transition from onsite work to a hybrid schedule after 90 days, offering flexibility.

Payroll Administrator Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process new hires and employee transactions using ADP Onboarding and Employee Self-service tools.
- Handle terminations, salary changes, direct deposit setups, and tax withholding updates.
- Prepare manual checks and manage direct deposit reversals and deletions.
- Audit payroll reports before submission to ADP using ADP Preview tools.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws, including garnishments and withholding orders.
- Collaborate effectively within the payroll team to ensure seamless operations.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now reporting tools to generate accurate payroll data.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll-related tasks and reporting.
Payroll Administrator Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, preferably with ADP Workforce Now.
- Knowledge of Draw vs. Commission payroll processing and union payroll is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in payroll operations.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment with a hybrid schedule.
