Tax Administrative Assistant Overview

  • The Tax Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to attorneys, ensuring efficient tax-related operations and client service.
  • Coordinate and manage client intake forms and documentation for tax preparation and filing processes.
  • Organize and securely upload financial records into the firm's document management system.
  • Assist with assembling completed tax returns for client review and signature.
  • Track e-file statuses and address any issues or rejections promptly.
  • Support billing processes and follow up on client receivables to ensure timely payments.
  • Respond to IRS and State Tax notices, providing necessary documentation and communication.
  • Contribute to general office tasks, enhancing workflow during tax season and beyond.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to maintain smooth operations and deliver exceptional client service.

Tax Administrative Assistant Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and secure file handling.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing tax documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions and inquiries.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience with billing processes and tracking receivables is advantageous.
