Job Description

International Logistics Coordinator Overview

  • The International Logistics Coordinator will oversee and enhance ocean export services, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
  • This role involves analyzing processes, recommending improvements, and supporting business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external customers and internal teams to streamline cargo flow and enhance export operations.
  • Conduct virtual meetings with stakeholders, including vendors and shipping providers, to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Provide detailed analyses, reports, and graphics to support decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Lead process improvement teams and contribute innovative ideas to optimize business processes.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance for import/export operations and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Support onboarding of new sites and business units, ensuring smooth transitions and operational readiness.
  • This is an onsite contract role with potential for permanent placement.

International Logistics Coordinator Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency and business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Lead weekly virtual meetings with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Develop and present reports, including graphics, to support internal and external decision-making.
  • Participate in and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide analytical support during crises and for ad hoc projects.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and industry standards.
  • Support the onboarding of new business units and sites, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Perform other duties as required to support operational goals and objectives.

International Logistics Coordinator Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in logistics or business administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of operational experience, with 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regional environment.
  • Experience in process improvement and project leadership is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities to manage complex operations.
