Billing Coordinator Overview

  • The Billing Coordinator will oversee the billing lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client guidelines while supporting revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and internal teams to address billing strategies and inquiries effectively.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, track payments, and proactively manage collections to resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle complex billing needs, including rate accommodations and high-level write-offs, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Oversee electronic billing submissions via LEDES files and eBillingHub, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
  • Provide exceptional service as the primary contact for billing inquiries, strengthening client and attorney relationships.
  • Utilize advanced technology tools, including MS Office and Elite 3E, to streamline billing processes.
  • Contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment, fostering efficiency and accuracy in all billing activities.

Billing Coordinator Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage the complete billing lifecycle for assigned partners and clients, from proforma review to final invoice submission.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and coordinate collections with attorneys and clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Address complex billing requirements, including rate accommodations and client-specific requests.
  • Oversee electronic billing processes, ensuring successful submissions and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss billing strategies and support revenue goals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries, providing professional and timely support.
  • Utilize advanced software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies and maintain meticulous attention to detail in all billing activities.

Billing Coordinator Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of legal billing experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with Elite 3E and eBilling systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with client policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills to address billing challenges efficiently.
