Senior Cloud Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices for compute, networking, and security controls.
• Develop backend and cloud-native services ensuring secure and reliable production-scale operations.
• Create deployment architectures for software platforms across diverse environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems to proactively identify issues.
• Develop portable deployment patterns reducing environment-specific configuration overhead.
• Improve security posture, scalability, and efficiency of cloud platforms.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for operational readiness.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and validate results.

Senior Cloud Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Strong practical experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code technologies like Terraform.
• Proficiency in backend development; experience with Rust or similar languages preferred.
• Experience designing and operating monitoring and observability systems for production workloads.
• Knowledge of deploying software across heterogeneous environments, including containerized platforms.
• Background in cryptography, information security, or compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or FIPS.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
